BACKGROUND
In the heritage sector, models for the creation, production and distribution of audiovisual works are tending to resemble digital production models. This implies new (more “open”) collaborative approaches for museums to mobilize producers/creative studios, inspired by these more agile models from the audiovisual sector: co-production logics, calls for expressions of interest, delegation of distribution to third parties, and so on.
On the strength of numerous co-production projects (L’Obsession des nymphéas and La Petite danseuse with Lucid Realities, Gaudi with Gédéon, etc.) and in view of these various developments, EPMO and the digital department wish to define how :
- Mutualize design costs: Create new formats that are innovative in both form and content by implementing very open co-creation logics;
- Maximize distribution costs: Produce new audiovisual and digital formats that are more fluid and transposable; Delegate the distribution and operation of audiovisual and digital productions.
