BACKGROUND

As part of a project to create an immersive experience at one of the 14 sites managed by Paris Musée, the museum’s digital department is seeking to define a strategy for disseminating and exploiting this type of format “ex situ”.

SERVICES PROVIDED

{CORRESPONDANCES DIGITALES] accompanied Paris Musées in :

  • Workshops with the digital department to analyze the challenges, assets and needs of the facility, and to distribute a virtual reality experience off-site.
  • Identification of the relevant players in terms of distribution, and definition of possible collaboration models with different distributors and venues for this “out-of-home” virtual reality experience.
  • Drawing up specifications to be proposed to potential future partners of Paris Musées.

DELIVERABLES

  • An inventory of the issues, needs and strengths of Paris Musées to be put forward to partners.
  • Positioning study of possible exploitation and distribution models (panel of 5 specialized broadcasters, 5 cultural venues specialized in the exploitation of virtual reality projects).
  • Scoping note on the exploitation and distribution strategy for the establishment’s future virtual reality projects.

OBTAINED RESULTS

  • Structuring a strategy for off-site distribution and exploitation of digital productions.
  • A clear framework for anticipating future collaborations with partners on the exploitation and distribution of these digital productions (expected achievements and details, specific questions depending on the type of partner, contributions from Paris Musée, criteria for selecting candidates, timetable).
