1. AMONG THE PROJECTS YOU HAVE RECENTLY CARRIED OUT, HAVE YOU CARRIED OUT ANY PROJECTS WITH INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS (IN GESTATION, IN THE PROCESS OF BEING SET UP OR ALREADY DEVELOPED)?
In fact, we have a number of projects in France where our 360° dome will be touring extensively. We’ll probably be at two festivals – NewImages in April and the Grand Palais Éphémère in June – and perhaps a third in collaboration with Cannes XR, which has already found a venue on the Croisette. Other projects are also under development in concert halls. We have, for example, a touring project between the Scène nationale Théâtre-Sénart in May and the Théâtre national de Chaillot in June.
Many of these Parisian projects were made possible thanks to meetings initiated at NUMIX LAB. In addition to Lucid Realitieswhich brought us into the ephemeral Grand Palais, and Cannes XR, I’m thinking of a long-term project in the Jardin des Plantes with the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle.
However, outside France, we don’t yet have any international projects. For the time being, our European development efforts are focused on France.
2. CAN YOU DESCRIBE THEM IN BROAD TERMS (TARGET AUDIENCE, PLANNED PROJECTS, MODEL OF COLLABORATION WITH YOUR PARTNERS)?
A co-production has been set up to create a new work: Entrez dans la danse. This is a French work, in which we are co-producers to the tune of 10%, as supplier of the technical solution. Other partners involved include production studios Small Creative and Tchikiboum. The project is currently in residence at the Théatre-Sénart, where it will be launched as a preview. The official launch will then take place at the Théâtre National de Chaillot, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, before moving on to the Grand Palais Éphémère, for example.

For the NewImages and Cannes XR festivals, different content will be offered in the 360° dome. We’ll be offering a Quebec focus featuring five or six local works from Hubblo’s distribution catalog, in conjunction with the Société des arts technologiques de Montréal. Specific mediation will be offered to visitors. In this type of project, we accentuate our personality as distributor and curator.
3. TO WHAT EXTENT HAVE THESE PROJECTS BEEN FACILITATED OR ENCOURAGED BY XN QUEBEC’S INITIATIVES?
The strong network created by Xn Québec through the NUMIX LAB delegations has greatly contributed to raising awareness of our offer and creating solid links. Regularly meeting up with different professionals from the cultural and audiovisual sector on a number of occasions is invaluable for building lasting business relationships. And to establish strong ties rather than a one-shot deal.

4. DURING THE LAST EDITION OF NUMIX LAB, HOW MANY CONTRACTS DID YOU SIGN OR NEGOTIATE AND, IF APPLICABLE, CAN YOU SHARE A RANGE OF YOUR REALIZED AND/OR ANTICIPATED GROSS REVENUES OUTSIDE QUEBEC?
On all these projects, we will start generating revenues within the next six months. Our Quebec dome is about to cross the ocean, and we’ll be able to assess how this offer works in Europe, and then think about the next stage in its itinerary. Our future objective is to set up in Paris, on a semi-permanent basis, as part of a network or partnership.
